The project is located in a low-density suburban area in the Northwest periphery of Madrid. This collective housing scheme aims to accommodate nine houses in a three-story high block which, to adapt to the suburban context, fragments the program in three one-house-per-floor blocks.
This fragmentation is also a good climatic strategy, articulating three volumes which, on the one hand have a good solar orientation in winter and good views, and on the other hand are porous to the Northeast winds for its passive cooling in summer.
Over-dimensioned terraces with planters extend the garden’s vegetation to the houses, contributing to solar control and to the privacy of the units.
